On the 1970 chevelle, is the extreme top of the windshield, where the top rests, is that covered with vinyl or is it painted to match the car???

SS454JC Apr 5th, 04, 11:42 PM Hello, It is covered with vinyl (on my 70). Mine is black vinyl as I have a white interior with black dash. One of my friends' 70 has an all red interior and has red vinyl strip atop windshield, and another friend has a 70 with saddle interior with saddle vinyl strip. When I changed my vinyl strip, the steel beneath it was painted blue like the rest of the car. Do a search on vinyl and you will find hits on this topic.
