I am new to this forum, so I wanted to introduce myself. My Dad has a '70 SS396 clone car that he and I restored a number of years ago. I am into Novas, and I have a '65 SS clone that I've owned for about 18 years. Here is a picture of the 'velle, with my Nova in the background.

A red interior family, huh? Cool cars. Where are you from? West Virginia and Delaware are two states I know of that don't have front license plates, but that's as far as my detective skills can get me. I know there are many more.

Pennsylvania. Dad lives in Pittsburgh, and I just moved to Harrisburg.

Thanks for the compliments, guys!

I thought that convert looked familiar!!

Any chance your Dad's name is Dave? If so, I see him all the time at cruises around here with your Mom and we saw one another at the CanAm Northern Chevelle Gathering in Niagara Falls last July just by chance!

I was going to try to contact him.

Please let him know that me and two other guys are trying to start a Chevelle Club here in Southwestern PA/West Virginia Panhandle/Eastern Ohio called the Allegheny Valley Chevelle Club. We'll be affiliated with ACES.

We're having the first meeting on April 22, but not sure where yet. It would be great if he/you could come! My name is Andy Haas and my email address is in the icon above. Please tell him I said Hi and have him send me an email so we can stay in touch. I figured I wouldn't be able to catch up with him until the cruise season gets going.

I'm the guy with the Fathom Blue/White top/Ivory Interior '70 LS 6 convert clone.

Thanks!

Andy

Andy,

Yes, my Dad's name is Dave, and I am John. I recall seeing your car at the "church cruise" in Wexford last summer. I used to work in Warrendale (lived in McCandless twp) until Oct 2003, when I moved to the Harrisburg area.

My Dad does not get on the internet much, but I will pass this message along to my Mom, and maybe she will contact you via e-mail. If you'd like, I can PM or e-mail a phone number, or you can send me yours.

Your LS6 clone is a beautiful car!

BTW.. the picture above was taken at the old Quaker Steak cruise in Robinson in late summer 2002.

John

Thanks!

I'll send you a PM with my phone number. Then they can do either one.
