My car has power windows. I haven't figured out how to get the windows lined up so they go up smoothly without hanging up before they're fully closed - that is, without having to open a door. :(
Any suggestions other than trial and error?

I have the simular problem with my manual door windows. When the weather gets a bit warmer, the door panels are coming off, and I'm going to work on it. I don't know of any manuals that cover alignment in detail, so I guess its just a trial and error thing. Make sure the doors are lined up dead on first.

Thanks, BAD!
I guess I'll have to give my award back, now, but you confirmed what I thought I knew - which was there ain't any easy answers!! :(
Oh well. If it was easy, it wouldn't be any fun, I guess!
Thanks.

I know someone that may be able to help you but his internet has been down for a few days. When he gets back online I will shoot him an email. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I keep adjusting until I think they roll easy enough. I use silcone spray on the felts (not greasy) just to get them travel better.
There is a chrome headed screw on my 64 that goes into the top of the door at the wind wing area that I dont have it's very long and I havent been able to buy one yet. My car has been apart so long I lost both of them.

Andy... my Dad might be able to help, but I don't think he ever got his perfect. When he bought his car, it was a real basket case, and nothing lined up. To make matters worse, whomever welded on the NOS 1/4's didn't get them lined up quite right, so getting everything else to line up was a real challenge.
You should mention it the next time you see the car at a cruise.
P.S. I hear you had a decent turnout for the meeting.

John
Thanks. I'll do that. I saw your Mom and Dad last Saturday at the new Oasis cruise. If the weather cooperates, I should see them this weekend, too.
We did get a good turnout. Must have been about 15, or so. Not bad for a rainy week night. Hopefully we can grow the group into 40-50 over the next couple years.
Hope to shake hands with you the next time you're in town on a cruise night.
