Joeks, I would have prefered stock 65 Malibu hubcaps on your car tongue.gif Are those some kind of mid seventies NOVA looking rally rim on that beautiful 65 CHEVELLE MALIBU of yours

I have to agree with LKN BCK. The SS wheel cover is a nice looking piece. Unlike many stock covers.
Joeks...Thats my car smile.gif thanks!

I agree about the 65 SS wheelcovers loking good, but my ragtop is not an SS and the stock Malibu covers leave a little to be desired  . When I bought the car I thought it had stock covers on it but learned they were from a 66 Nova, so I had a chance to buy the wheels and tires presently on it for $150 and couldn't pass them up. I may try to find some 65 Malibu covers later. ;)

Hi Joeks, while hunting for your wheel covers... what you may or may not know is that the SS and Malibu covers are the SAME...the centers are what is different...dont forget that you can interchange the centers by removing 3 screws on the back of them.
The SS centers like to pit really bad so some times you can get them really cheap at swaps and the sort for really cheap with exellent caps then you put the stock Malibu center on it(just keep your eyes open)
If you find a good set of 65 caps, I might be able to help with 1 or 2 good stock Malibu centers if you end up needing them. DAN

Mar 30th, 04, 12:51 AM
Thanks loads. I knew they where the same with the exception of the center, but I did not know the center was removable.

LKN BCK
Mar 30th, 04, 3:50 PM
SORRY Joeks, they are not the same! One can interchane stock Malibu cap with a SS center...by drilling the 3 holes... but not interchange stock Malibu center onto a SS cap.The metal is stamped out different in the center. Again, Sorry for the confusion graemlins/clonk.gif

I just found this foum great idea thanks Al.

My Green Machine 1964 is about to go through it's initial smoke test. After two years of messing around. I'm about ready to connect the battery.
