I found an Ebay auction for an article on a 67 Nickey Chevelle. Does anyone have information on these cars (production numbers, options, etc.) or pictures of one?

My dad grew up in Chicago and remembers the Nickey cars. He almost had a 68 427 Camaro (was going to trade his 67 SS350 in) until my grandpa stepped in.

I am considering doing a Nickey clone as a surprise during the restoration even though his is only a 327 car.

Anyone have any insight on these cars or should I use a Camaro as a guide?

This is the only one I know of.The only differance is the 427 crossflags on the front fenders with the nickey script above them. Can't remember what was on the tailpanel.Tim

In an 1997 issue of Muscle Car Review they did a story on a 67 Nickey Chevelle that is known to be the only one made.

Where did they get that info? There is no existing dealer paperwork. That is a can't prove me right and can't prove me wrong and hope another one doesn't pop up.If its not this black car that I posted someone has a dilema.Either they made 2 or this black car has bogus original documentation.

That 1997 MuscleCar Review Nickey Black Chevelle was sold New at Nickey,as either a 325HP,or a 350 HP 396 CID.
It went back to Nickey to get a CE L78 375HP engine(not a L89,or 427) installed in 68/69 while still under warranty.
That article has some exaggerations in it.
