I AM CLEANING UP THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON MY 1970 CHEVELLE BEFORE I DROP IN A 402.I HAVE THE PLASTIC INNER FENDERS THAT ARE IN ALRIGHT CONDITION.I WAS WONDERING IF I WOULD BE BETTER OFF PAINTING THEM OR IF THEIR IS A WAY TO BUFF OUT THE PLASTIC TO MAKE THEM LOOK NEW AGAIN.ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

I am not sure but painting the plastic inner shields I do not think will work very good. With the flexing the paint might crack unless you use some of the same paint that is used on plastic bumper covers. Not sure if you can buff them out but hopefully someone else will enlighten us on this.
