Hi, could anybody tell me if this will work? friend of mine gve me a 72 chevelle body, only thing he wants off of it ishte rear bumper for his 70 (likes the 4 lights in the front and wants 4 round light in the rear) but he's giving me the rear bumper of of his 70, I was wondering of the brackets will bolt to the frame? I know the bumper mounts differ a little. like the bolt is centered on the 72 between the tail light and the 70 is a little off to one side, any input would be greatly appreciated. Jim

I have seen Chevelles with the wrong year bumper so it should work. I think you will also need the panel below the bumper as the '70 bumper is a little different shape on the lower edge.

The rear bumpers are a direct bolt on from 70-72. Not sure on the valance panel, but pretty sure there is some difference from 70 to 71/2

Yep, Valance for a 70 is different.
