Some people on this site include pictures as part of their post, without using a link to a home page it seems. I know how to do links to a home page or remote site where pictures are stored, but how can one paste a picture into a post on this site?
:confused:

The picture has to be on the internet somewhere. You can host it yourself at a website or use one of the many photo storage places on the net.

If the picture is on a website somewhere, use the {img} and {/img} tag instead of {url} and {/url} - and replace the french braces { } with brackets [ ]. Remember too that many are on a dial-up connection and large pictures take a lot of time and bandwidth and try to use .JPG files in place of .BMP ones. The photo below is about 25K and 500 x 254. Example:
{img}http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/396guy/p002408_med.jpg{/img}
Replacing the braces with brackets gives you the picture.

If you get a TC membership, hint,hint, you get a showroom. You can place pictures there. You can also put pictures in a temporary showroom. It will go away in about 60 days, put them there if you want show a pic but don't care if it stays around.
I bring up the pic in IE then copy the url(control c) from the address bar. The click on the image button while replying or posting a new topic. When the window pops up, paste(control v) the url to the pic in the popup then click ok. There are other methods that work, this seems to work good for me.

Dale, is that your car? I see it every Monday at the cruise-in at Santa Fe. Mine is the purple malibu that usually gets parked in the shadows on the side street.
