I am replacing my door hinge pins, bushings. That is the easy part. I also am replacing the indent roller and pin. The orignal pin is larger than the replacement pin that has a 1/4 20 thread. When the orignal hole is taped it is too large to leave much of a thread and the new pin just turns.

Maybe you can install a Heli-coil. The correct hole size for a 1/4-20 Heli-coil is 17/64 or .265". Any good machine shop can do it for you or search MSC and buy your own kit. It's easy to do.
