I need help with 1969 ss396, I ran 1/4 vent line along with 3/8 fuel line from gas tank to front of frame, where and what does the 1/4 inch vent line connect to in the engine compartment? If it's a charcoal canister, any ideas where I can obtain one. I appreciate the help.

The 1/4 " line on my 70 connects to the fuel pump as a return line. The fuel pump is a little different then the standard pump, it is longer and has the return connection on it. hope this helps

Where the 1/4" line comes out of the frame you will need a piece of rubber hose about 8" long and two clamps this will go to a another 1/4" steel line that routes behind the water pump and comes up to meet your fuel filter which attaches to the front of your intake manifold, which utilizes a bracket. You will need another piece of rubber hose about an inch long and two clamps to connect the steel line to the fuel filter. You can buy the three piece fuel line kits (3/8" line from the pump to filter,1/4" vent line from filter to frame line and 3/8" from filter to carb.)from any of the aftermarket suppliers they sell them in stainless or steel. You can also get the correct color spring clips and hose kits. I bought mine from Ground Up. All this is if you want it to look original. If you dont have the fuel filter and bracket you can also buy these from one of the suppliers. The only difference is that the filters they have available now are a little bigger in diameter then the originals, so you need to buy a new bracket to make it work. This set up works with Q-jet carb. Will cost about $85-$90 for this set up.Good luck.

Here is some of what you will need.
