At the bottom of the windshield is a small pad that the windshield sits on, it is metal only, should there be a rubber pad on it?
Thanks

At the bottom of the windshield there should be a couple of L shaped clips.Mine has 2 one on each side, and the part touching the glass is rubber coated.I believe this is to absorb any road shock from being transmited to the glass. My rubber on these was in bad shape so I cut a 3/4 inch piece and cut a slot in it to fit on the contact portion of the bracket.

ricky your right. or you could get a can or rubber dip from the hardware store. the stuff you use to dip plyer handles in...
that will rubber coat the ends and it will not dislodge. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/wink.gif
