I want to put some after market guages in my 71 monte idiot light dash. I was wondering what does the circuit board to. Can i just modify my dash and put the guages in and just hook up wires to the guages, or do i have to bypass the circuit bord somehow. Thanks

You can use gauge pods-which can be attached to the drivers pillar. They can fit nicely without drilling holes or hanging the gauges under the dash.

The circuit board provides power, gnd, sensor inputs, and dash light power to the gagues and lights. You can install aftermarket and wire up externally, just remove the circuit board and wire up the gauges like you would if under dash.
