I put the "Nascar" type in my Nova. Works good.

I've been running a Griffin universal radiator for about 5 years. It runs great on the highway, about 160. In town it heats up to about 190 with a 16" puller fan.

It's smaller than my copper 4 row, yet keeps the temps at least as cool. I opted for the one with the bigger rows, I believe they were 1.25" wide each ( two rows ). It was an extra $100, but IMO, worth it. I run the B/M stacked plate trans cooler, and the trans runs very cool, never going over 150F. The lower radiator neck is angled on the "Nascar" type, but was what worked best for me. A Stewart Stage One water pump is a good addition, also. It's a product that delivers what they claim.

I have a bolt in Griffen in my 66 with tranny cooler. Works ok. My temps still get higher at idle. I don't think it works much better than my universal type I had in it before. But factory shroud bolted up with some trimming.
Looks nice.

I bought a radiator from Mattson's in Stanton Ca
after I looked at a Griffin at a show in Chgo.
The Mattson is a really nice looking piece with
2 build in 10 in fans all Aluminum including
shroud, double by pass cools the **** out of my
69 Chevelle 454 & was a couple 100 cheaper than Griffin. Would recommend this company to anyone.
