Yesterday I found a Pennzoil distributor that was moving out and put a zillion boxes of new Pennzoil oil filters in the trash. Does anyone know of a place where I can look up the Pennzoil numbers and find out what they fit? Pennziol's site does not list them, so they may have gone out of this business, so that was a dead end. Who made their filters? Fram? Champion? Any help would be appreciated.
Or should I just put them back in the dumpster?

I'd try K-mart or any other store that sells them, save the ones you or your friends can use, and trash the rest.

Heck better yet identify what they all are and sell the left overs on e-bay.

MIght try one of the "quick oil change" places for an 'old' catalog. Some of them sell Pennzoil.

Most oil filters use a common numbering system. There are 2 different systems. I used to know a bunch of filter numbers, but forgot. An old catalog is definately your best bet, at least you could cross reference the numbers if nothing else. Virtually all the catalogs have a cross reference in them.
Those filters are extremely cheap anyways. Technically it IS an oil filter, just not one that I would use. I remember something like $10-12 a case. A case had about 12 filters in it.

I think those are rebadged Fram filters. Take that for what its worth...Maybe you can cross reference it by number on the Purolator website? I've use it before with good results..

Any auto parts place that has that oil filter catalog hanging by the oil filters on the shelf. In the back of that cat is usually a cross reference guide.

If they're rebadged cheap Frams, leave them in the trash. Worst there are. That guys knows what he's doing.
