: Pictures of 70 SS tail lights?

Finally getting around to trying to restore my tail lights that are very faded. I've got the silver paint pen from Testers but really need to know exactly what gets painted silver. I can see that the outside edge has some silver on it at places but is there anything else I need to be painting? Any pictures?
Also, suggestions for prep?

Thanks,

Here is a pretty good picture for you.

When I redid mine, I used the testors spray paint on the outside area. Use the pen to paintthe raised ribs in the lense.

Thanks Bill, sweet looking car. When you mention spraying the outside area with spray paint, do you mean the flat area (approx. 1 1/2" or so) from the outside edge down the inside of the lens to the base? Did you just tape the base or bottom of the lens off to spray it?

Thanks,

YES

It's been several years since I did it. I think I taped off the base of the lens as you asked. Take the assembly as far apart as you can.

Good Luck

Bill,

Wow, cool velle! Is the shop in the picture yours? If so, how much did it cost to build it?
The garage of the house that i rent has been converted to a studeo by the landlords, so I'm investigating alternatives to just covering my chevelle.
Thanks for any info, sorry if this post does'nt pertain to the forum.
