looked at a 1971 chevelle ss believed to be a big block car. trim tag reads as follows

the car has no trans. has 12 bolt rear with sway bar, big block steering shaft,disk brakes, ac, bench seat, ss dash with no gauge package, kick down switch , ralley wheels, working complete cowl induction hood. body is solid underneath. floors ,trunk, frame look real good. it does need front fenders or patches. bench seat and column shift. also comes with a parts car and 71 454 standard bore block coded for a 71 chevelle ss 454 4-speed. has rebuilt matching heads. no paper work though. has most parts but needs resto. thanx for any input. mike

I sold a 71 SS454, running driving project with non original 454 4 speed for $2800 a couple of years ago. Needed rust repair and complete resto but was a savable car. If it is a BB car it should have a 3/8" fuel line and also a 1/4" return line.

Sounds like the car ratuned mentioned might be in the 4-5K range with the way prices are lately.
