: (Non-Chevelle) How to drain rad on 1994 Grand Prix?

My wife has a 1994 Grand Prix SE with the 3100. I'm trying to do my first engine coolant flush... Can anyone tell me where to find and how to remove the rad plug(s) on this? At each end of the rad at the bottom are two "plugs" of a sort, but nothing like any other petcock that I would recognize. Are these them? And, if so, how do I remove them properly? If those aren't them, then is there another drain somewhere that I'm not seeing?

Thanks much!

P.S. Also - how important is removing the two engine plugs while doing a backflush? The front one is positioned so that, when opened, it will spill pretty much RIGHT into the starter -- which isn't very cool. The back one is pretty much impossible to get to without a lift -- which I don't have access to.

John,
On the drivers side bottom of the rad is a drain,it'll look like a flat blade on a circle.TO open it,you turn it 90 or 180 degrees and it pops out. These frequently break in the radiator when you try to remove them.If it doesn,t feel like it wants to turn don't try to force it.You can pull the lower rad hose to drain it,you just need a bigger drain pan. graemlins/clonk.gif
Also there are bleed screws.Either there is one above the t-stat housing or two on the tube that runs across the front of the motor to the back of the water pump.Use them to purge air on refill.
