Okay, replaced my single speed wiper switch with a used one. Wipers still don't work on my 65. Replace the motor with a bench tested motor. Still nothing. I am reading 12 volts to the single wire that runs to the switch. I am reading 12 volts to one of the wires running to the motor, but nothing from the other (both wires are connect to the motor by a single clip) with the switch on or off. Should it read? Someone mentioned it sounds like a grounding problem. The metal connector is on the back of the dash that runs from the wiper switch to the headlight switch. Headlights work fine, so that ground I would think would be okay.
How can I test to see if my switch is bad? It is weird because only one wire runs to the switch. Does the switch act as a ground? Can I ground out that wire and will that make the wipers turn on? I'm at a loss.
