Okay, replaced my single speed wiper switch with a used one. Wipers still don't work on my 65. Replace the motor with a bench tested motor. Still nothing. I am reading 12 volts to the single wire that runs to the switch. I am reading 12 volts to one of the wires running to the motor, but nothing from the other (both wires are connect to the motor by a single clip) with the switch on or off. Should it read? Someone mentioned it sounds like a grounding problem. The metal connector is on the back of the dash that runs from the wiper switch to the headlight switch. Headlights work fine, so that ground I would think would be okay.

How can I test to see if my switch is bad? It is weird because only one wire runs to the switch. Does the switch act as a ground? Can I ground out that wire and will that make the wipers turn on? I'm at a loss.

Okay, freak thing. Over the weekend, every time I started my car the wipers would twitch. So, I start my car this morning and the wipers moved all the way to the upright position. I flipped the switch and they worked! However, when I turn them off the wipers stay in the up position. I might have spun the arm (part of the motor that connects to the linkage) around when I installed the motor. Should I pull the motor and turn the arm clockwise one turn and then reinstall the motor?

I think you might need a new motor but I could be wrong. You might get a better response in the Electrical forum.
