Does anyone know of an alternative to the A/C ports that are on the side of the dash on a 64/65? I don't really like the look of the balls, and would like to put something else in there. Is this something I'm going to have to get fabbed up locally?

Hmmm...I guess I could get something to fit up - not a bad idea. But, I wanted to keep the ports there for their original intention - to supply air - but I wanted to change them out to something else. I think the stock ones are somewhat fugly, and since my car is in no way stock, I wanted to put something in there a little more modern looking... If I can't find anything, the speaker idea is a pretty damn good one.

Check the 'Slyder Series' from Vintage Air. Go to their site at http://www.vintageair.com/catalog.asp and click on page 31. They may be a bit smaller than the factory A/C opening, I had to drill my non-A/C dash to install them.
