are the axles the same or different in a 12 bolt rear-end as opposed to a 10 bolt? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have a different number of splines and do not interchange.

12 bolts for our cars usually have 30 splines (factory GM applications), and the 10 bolts usually have 28 splines. As mentioned above, they will not interchange.
