: Question on Repro 70 Chevelle Radiator Supports.......

Hello all,

A little earlier this year I picked up a repro radiator support from GU for my 70 Chevelle. Mine was in ok shape but I was looking to lighten it by drilling holes and didn't want to cut the original.

After I got about a 100 holes in it, I noticed something kinda wierd. Both the old and new radiator supports have welded on nuts where the braces for the body mount bolt to. The original support has all the nuts on the outside where the headlights bolt to. On the repro, there is two on the outside and one the inside on each side which to me is wrong. I'll have to modify it to make it right since I have already cut it to pieces.

Anyone ever run across this? The part was from GU, in a made in Taiwan box, although it did have a Goodmark sticker attached to it. Just wandering if anyone else has had this issue and what the solution was. Any help is appreciated!!
