I used a heated pressure washer. If you have the body on a rotisere this should work great for you. One other guy on here said he brushed diesel fuel on his and was able to just wash it off.

I'm starting the same thing myself. Only thing is I'm leaving the body on the frame. As soon as weather permits I'll get mine outside spray all the underneath with cleaner/degreaser from a pump up sprayer and get with it with my pressure washer. I hope I can get the rear of the car high enough on some ramps to reach everything.

I cleaned mine up last fall using Castrol degreaser(purple 5 gallon jug). I put it in a squirt bottle and sprayed it down. I was able to use a large floor jack placed in the center of the frame (near the rear of the door opening) and jacked it up and then placed stands under the axle and a-arms and left the jack in place. I wore a rain suit and goggles . I hooked to my hot water heater and used a cheap pressure washer gun that you hook water and air to. It did a great job removing alot of crud. I hope to paint with urethane black when temps allow. Hope this helps

my car was wheeled out and then jack stands placed at the front frame mounting points and under the rear axle. It worked great for me.

I used oven cleaner on mine - it sticks nicely and is very effective. Definitley need to use a respirator and keep covered up though.
