in 98 i had my uncle paint my 71 malibu. now its been sitting out side for a while(2003) i love this car its been passed on to me by my father. its hard to rebuild when you are barely making it with the bills. any ways the clear started to flake and now the paint is fading very fast because i dont have a car port. my question is should i wait until i gather enough money to re paint my car or should i cover it up and keep on trying to rebuilding my car and watch it melt away ??? graemlins/sad.gif

I would start with a $50.00 water proof plastic car cover from Pep Boys. At least it won't melt away. I have several friends with 3 or 4 cars and they can't keep them all inside, so they cover them and they have stayed nice for years...
