Here is a good one. I own a 70 ss. I have traced the car back to 1987 where it was in Maryland. Before that it was last titled in Dallas in 1983. It was purchased from Earl Hayes Cheverolet in late 69. This is what I know of the history. I am trying to locate the original owners of the car but the DMV in each state will not give that information out unless you have a court order. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do a history on your car.

you cannot find out WHO owened the car but you can find the complete history you know the car was in TX in 83 why don't you get the information from TX they will tell you when the car was sold and how many times it changed hands I have that on my car I can trace it back to the start if you need the TX DMV address let me know I have a list of all 50 states DMV's Marty

You could try getting someone at the DMV to send a self addressed stamped envelope for you. As long as the outgoing envelope says something like "Return to DMV if undeliverable" it stands to reason that the information will not be given out, unless the owner contacts you. I don't know though...
