VERY CAREFULLY! As you know they are fragile. Haven't seen repro's but the oem's are brutal enough. The idea is to hook top edge over rail and kind of roll the bottom edge until it snaps in place. Usually best to start in middle of boomerang part of rail. (rear upper curve of door frame) Be vary careful to insure mldg. is centered on rail. hook upper & roll bottom of mldg. into place with heel of hand. NO TOOLS Slowly work both directions rechecking fit at ends. Sometimes, bottom edge will catch on lower edge of drip rail and not want to snap in place. NOW you may use a very small screw driver & try to relase bind by Very gentle prying on edge of mldg. BAD things that can happen: poke self with screw driver, stress marks in mldg, scratches in mldg. scratches in car, dents in mldg. I hope you don't have a vinyl top, much tougher due to material from top in way. Massage drip mldg. into place. Use of force WILL have negative results. Do it when you are very relaxed and at peace with the world.

Davisp, when you are done reading 'more ambition's' instructions, take 5 and read it again! Then follow the last recommendation......first! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Its a pain for sure. I am considering removing the drip rails. Less wind noise and a smoother look. I am pretty confident they won't be missed.

Thanks guys, somehow I knew it would not be easy. I guess I was hoping there was some special tool or something. Thanks again. pd

Davisp, one more thought, as I was thinking about those fun little mouldings, it occured to me there is one more trick that may be helpful. smear a bunch of thick grease on drip rail, just enough for coverage of rail & particularily in lower edge of rail where bottom flange is. With cars, as in other things in life sometimes, Just a little more lubrication helps!
