Just wondering if there is anything special out there to remove that pain in the a$$ tar?

Jeff, I've used gumouts bug and tar remover in the past with good results. Depending on how much tar you've got it may take a couple of applications. This coming from a man whose wife pulled into the driveway one day with tar dripping off the rocker panels of her car. Good luck. Pete

Mineral spirits works great. That's essentially what Bug & Tar remover is. Also, your local auto paint store sells something like Prep Sol, or Wax & Grease Remover, that works well.

The best I have ever used has been Acrili-clean (PPG). Its the Grease and wax remover I used when I painted my car. Any paint store and NAPA will have similar stuff. Works great and will not harm finishes. Also great for cleaning any part of the car as it doesn't harm vinyl or rubber. I also use it to remove dirty grease from my door hindges.

Thanks, I'll give some of those things a try.
