Have a manual steering box in my 71 and want to convert it to power steering box. Have the power steering gear box but can't find a pitman arm. The manual pitman arm is the right length but the spline diameter is to small.
The turkey run is in three weeks!!!! Please help!!!

You can get them from a bunch of the resto places, including Ground Up.

When I swapped my 64 from Pwr steering to a manual unit off a 69 Nova I found that the small hole for the tie rod end was too small and I had to drill it out larger to fit the drag link.
I expect you to run into the opposite and that the hole will be to big in your case.
You might have to change out the drag link to get this to work.

Sorry, I don't understand what you had to drill out. Can you explain again?
I'm concerned that you enlarged a hole intended for a tapered stud, but might not have tapered the hole to match. If so, there's some very real problems, including stud breakage.

Shurkey .. the hole I had to drill out is a tapered hole. I reamed it out with a taper, ... back in 1987 and never had a problem with it.
Just removed what was needed to get the larger end to fit.
I just swapped the old system out this year for a R & P unit.
