I am considering changing the springs in my 68 back to standard (original) height.
If you click the link below you can see how she sits. It is not a numbers matching car and has many performance upgrades so being true to originallity is not a huge deal to me.

I think that it looks good but I do rub the exhaust on speed bumps every once in a while.

My questions are.

Should I change them (looking for opinions)?

Would it make my wheel wells look empty (running 215/65/15 front and 255/60/15 on rear)?

Thanks for your opinions and advice.
This board has been a great help to me...a first time Chevelle owner.

I would say that if the springs on there now arent worn out or giving you problems related to driving the car, besides a occasional bottoming out.

Then I would say it comes down to personal taste. If you like the look stay with it. Many times speed bumps can be avoided. At least in parking lots at a mall or similar.

Chris.

I agree. I know I didn't answer your question but I really like the way you car looks.

Just continue to drive slow over the speed bumps...your ride looks Great the way it is in the picture.

Your car sits really nice. Any way to tuck the exhaust up closer to the floor? I haven't driven my car enough to know yet, but I'm sure the lower hanging 3.5" pipes up to the X-pipe on my 66 are bound to see some rubbing.

I have my 3" tucked up as close as I can. I did have them turn the tail pipes down and out to the side so I get to hear more sound with the windows open.

It's actually the headders that are rubbing occasionally on speed bumps. I do not have collectors because it would be much worse. I had them welded into the 3" pipe.
