The only wiper set up I'm really familiar with is the 2-speed wiper which uses a unique motor from the 1-speed set up. My coupe has a 2-speed wiper and I'd really like to add a 2-speed wiper set up to the wagon which came with a 1-speed wiper set up. I know I need a 2-speed wiper motor, 2-speed switch and the appropriate wiring, but do I also need a different wiper arm transmission assembly? I'm talking about the arms that are under the cowl grill and are driven by the wiper motor.

TIA.

Rich the 1 & 2 speed square motors use the same linkage and the 2 speed round motor uses one different arm. It is the long arm from the motor arm to the passenger side.

Rich,

I show that there are 2 different part numbers for the wiper transmissions, 1 Speed PN#4913871 and the 2 Speed PN#4914507. I don't know what the difference between the two is though. Perhaps it's length or the bend where it connects to the motors arm?~?

There is a two speed square motor that uses the same arm and transmission as the one speed.

I'm looking to install the 2-speed round motor so I guess I'll need to find the appropriate transmission arms too.

If you can't find the parts you can always use an aftermarket delayed wiper control from JC Whitney.
