Hello,

Today I was told only tinted windshields are available for 1970 Chevelle convertibles.

Of course mine has a non-tinted clear windshield.

Anyone know where to buy a non-tinted clear windshield?

Many thanks, Joe

PS - any difference between 70 hardtop and convertible windshields? Thanks again.

Not an easy find. I know of guys who have bought an entire parts-car mainly to get the non-tinted glass.

www.glasssearch.com. You should be able to get it through Pilkington.

I should be glad my glass is tinted huh, I think I'm going to need a new one because I didn't know welding around the windshield was a bad idea. Thats going to be an lesson I didn't expect to pay for.

yeah I was close enough.. its got about 25 or so that I know of little pits in it now. You think they may be able to save it? I was welding in a patch up on the header bow support. I did two small patches before I noticed what was happening and covered the window for the rest.

Yea I did that when I first started. I did it around the rear glass though.
