My 72 has ac and when i build and put my 350 motor in, im going to also install headers. How does the 2 bolt ac bracket work with headers. Its the bracket that bolts to the stock exhaust manifold bolts.

Go to the hardware store; get a couple of pieces of steel pipe of the right diamter to fit the bolts (either a 1/4" or 3/8" pipe nipple would be the right one, I can't recall which); cut it to length as a spacer such that the header flange thickness plus the spacer height = the manifold thickness; use the stock hardware.

summit and others sell this bracket: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=BIG%2D10042 Makes life easy. There is a similar looking bracket from Mr Gasket that is made from pressed sheet metal. I'd stay away from one like that.

I have a 70 with a SB400 (originally 307) and factory air and headers. I got the bracket from Summit when I got my DYNOMAX headers. It has been on there several years, has been just fine. No complaints. The price is very good.
