i was wire brushing my gas tank of my 72 chevelle, and discover after bruching away 1/4" of caked on mud, and oil it opened a few little rusted through holes in the tank. Now i asume i ahve to replace it, so how do i go about doing this, and how difficult is it? thanks

If it's like the 66-67 cars it's easy. Try and get as much gas out that you can. Disconnect the sending unit wire and fuel lines/vent. Then loosen the straps drop the tank.

Our sponser Ground Up has everything that you need to do the job right. If you become a member here, you'll save more then your membership cost with our discount. graemlins/thumbsup.gif And it is a fairly easy job to do. Just get a tank, connection kit, and maybe new bolt's and strap's if yours are no good after you get them out.
