i'm switching to an alum. radiator for my 69 chevelle. i want to switch to an electric fan of fans system.
which brand do you guys like?
i'm pushing 500HP from a 454 engine. it's a 4 speed with a 410 gear.
i'm interested in cfm, diameter, 1 or 2 fans and what should they be rated for. ie, continual use?
thanks john

I have a Derale set up for my 540. I haven't installed them yet but they flow good numbers.

I've got the dual "RAD" 13" fans I believe (I can't really remember right now). They flow 4000 cfm which should be more than adequate for my needs.
I second the Derale! I only have a SBC, so one 16" tornado fan works great. Also, they come with everything you need to install.

John Ive got the B Cool Fans that I installed back in July. They have worked great, a little pricy, but I got what I wanted. Ive got a 180 stat and it cools very well. Mitch at B Cool was very helpful, as I changed out the rad to. Check out my pictures.

I've also used the Spal dual 11" from here:

I used them to cool a blown 383 I had in a Nova. I have since given the fans to my brother who finally was able to get his 383 cool in AZ. They are great fans too. I think they are the same as the Be-Cool fans, might be cheaper though. Excellent quality.
