Just got my car back from the paint shop :D and birds seem to have found it right away  . So my question is how to remove bird droppings from fresh paint, because I know it will do damage if left alone. The car was clear coated.
Thanks

If a bird did the business on your new paint five minutes before you made this post and you haven't removed it yet, you probably already have mild damage to the clear coat. A new acrylic urethane bc/cc paint job will be quite susceptible to bird droppings and other chemicals for several months.

Wash any bird droppings or chemicals off as soon as possible with plain water or your favorite carwash soap.

Birds target freshly cleaned and/or painted cars. I've never understood it, but they will leave it alone until you have it nice and shiny.

Thanks
It was raining when the car arrived and as soon as I saw it the hose got turned on and most of it came of (with a little help). There was just a small ring from where it had been. Or I should say there were a lot of small rings. Hope it will buff out when I get the chance to really see how bad it is.
Anyway thanks.

It will come off, drink a beer, it'll be all better, you'll see. graemlins/thumbsup.gif Take it back to the body shop that painted it, they'll know what to do.
