Hey I just got a 68 chevelle malibu. The locks seem to be skipping the latch when you try to unlock from the inside. Lemme give you a brief description of what is happening.
Alright so we locked the doors and soon relized we couldnt get inside using the key because when you turned the lock it clicked and nothing happenend. We took the door panels off to see what happening. The lock on the door as you know has that long U shaped metal piece that sticks out towards the rod that is connected to the lock bar. The part that sticking out when the door is being locked from the outside pushes the latch down and locks it fine. However when you unlock the door it taps it and skips over it. We are not for sure if there is something missing or the latch is bent and mis shaped. If anyone has some incite on this or an article (pictures) anything it would help. I rember seeing a article somewhere on changing your locks but i cant find it anymore.
