Can anyone recommened a set of front and rear springs for a 71 with a small block? I have 15 inch chevy rallies on the car. The car must have the original rear springs because the driver side rear really sags. I am looking for a classic hot rod stance. If you have any suggestions I would be thankful. -brotherjoe

Contact NPD at 800-521-6104. They offer sseveral types of coil springs. Ask them for a catalog. graemlins/beers.gif

First Question is:

Are you the real "Brother Joe"?

Try stock HD rear springs with 1 inch drop fronts for a slight rake...hot rod style. I have found that the original springs for the fronts have been a bit high.

You could always go with an original front, and if its high, then cut a coil and see what happens.

'BlueChevelle' aka Dom also from the island had breat results cutting a full coil off the front on his 68.

I ended up using air shocks in the back to raise the rear end some. The car already drags the headers on speed bumps, so lowering it more wasn't and option.
No wheel hop, and it seems like it has better traction too. It moves some when you stomp it, instead of sitting still and frying the tires in to oblivion. Keep in mind the rear was squatting pretty good because its got a stainless fuel tank that is very heavy.

Thanks for the info guys....... and to ONABUDGET, I had thought myself to be the ONE and ONLY Brotherjoe. Am I the brotherjoe you are thinking of? Probably not. Its just sort of a nickname my brothers friends gave me.
