Try Alan Grove Brackets or Alan Grove Products at http://www.srbymichael.com/manufacturers/alangrove/agrove_bbclwp.shtml

They have good documentation of dimensions and such on their Web site. They make it possible to mount almost anything on anything in almost any position. Nice looking stuff that most importantly FITS as advertized. They supply almost all mountings for Vintage Air and are very very big with the street rod crowd.

I have them on my big block and the compressor mounting is entirely independent of the exhaust system or any mountings for the exhaust system. The brackets I have are for a Sanden compressor mounted on the drivers side of a 72 A-body with a BBC. They also make brackets that allow mounting the Sanden on the other side of the engine (passengers) if that is what you want.

I think you want P/N 122 R or 122 L. Just be sure that the mounting bosses on the engine you have are in the same position as the older Gen "1" BBCs. I am almost 100% sure they are because the later BBCs are sold as bolt in replacements for the old motors. Just check to be sure

I don't know if Alan Grove can help you mount a GM compressor (The A-6 that big huge "log" like thing or the smaller later model GM compressors) so you might have to go to the Sanden compressor to use the Alan Grove brackets (a very good product I might add) and make some hose mods but if ya gotta keep the hedders and ya want A/C well this might be your answer. Check them out on the web. I seem to recall something about using Alan Grove brackets with the old GM compressors but you should check that if the old GM compressers are in your plans.

Before I go...looked at your profile THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO THE COUNTRY. We know you don't have to be there. We appreciate and need what you are doing for us. Thanks Again!!!!!!!!
