I recently repainted the underside of my hood and when I reinstalled the Cowl Induction door it now bows in the center. Is this from too much vacuum or do I need to shim the outer edges so it lays flat? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

If your talking about the intake door on top of the hood, I would think it would be more likely that the hood is pulled in then the door bowed. That sucker is pretty stiff. I'd lossen all the bolts on the hinge pad that fastens to the underside of the hood to see if it wouldn't come back into alignment. If it is the one at the rear of the hood I'd look at the placement of the door "plunger" for lack of a better word to make sure it isn't positioned so that it keeps pushing beyond the stopping point of the door.
good luck
