Hey folks,
does anyone know if the moldings around the windshield and rear window are the same on hardtops and vinyl tops? Thanks,
kevin d

They sure are - at least for 70-72.

Could someone explain the process for the removal via "screwdriver" or what? I have a cherry set but don't want to pry them off.

Rick, Go to your friendly neighborhood parts store and ask for a moulding/trim removal tool. If you don't know how to use it ,ask them.

Rick ,be careful and go slow. I bent up some pieces on mine even after talking to people and reading in the how-to section here. The drip moulding gave me fits too, probably will have to replace all of it.

You can also use a old bottle opener.I've used one before and it works pretty good as long as you put some tape on the ends to avoid scratching the moulding. Be sure to take your time.
Do what Chev64 says. If you use the right tool, probably cost about $5-$10, and take your time, you will save the cost of new trim. Some of the window trim is still available from GM. Drip-rail molding is another story. I've heard of the bottle opener trick there that most guys will swear by. Let someone who has done it show you.
