I have install a new SS dash into a malibu and now i am tring to install pad how is this pad held on in the front :( graemlins/beers.gif

I believe their should be clips that slide under the metal base at the front of the window. Thats how it is on our '71. Hope I helped,

EDIT: In the front of the car, or the dash facing inwards toward the driver? If its facing in towards the driver, it should be a few screws that hold it down. And don't forget the screws in the glove box.

There are 4 clips that hold it down at the base of the windshield. Two on each side of the pad. Two mount on each side of the speaker. The front part of the pad is held down by 6 screws. If you have a new pad, set the pad into place, hold it down and you will need to drill out the holes in the pad itself to get the screws started.
