i had a few questions on surface rust, i am about to take a paint and body class at the local college its one of those work on your own car deals. well i was wondering i do have a little surface rust and i was thinking about doing the paintjob myself now having never done this before what would u guys suggest? should i take to a pro? i hear they charge like 4K for the whole job and i am kinda low on funds. i was thinking though of removing the rust and POR the places where it was located then blasting the car and primering it until i can afford the paint. i just need advice

thanks

As long as you can work on your own car at the class, DO IT! Golden opportunity! You'll have the tools, facilities and a teacher all in one place!

Jimmy is right!
You will have there all the stuff you need there:

Teacher (Some one to guide you).

Tools (which are exspensive).

Facilities. (You won't have to worry about cleaning)

Materials. (You won't have to ask here and there what is better)
[/list]

I wish we had these kind of classes in here.

And you'll be happy in the end!
picture yourself parking somewhere and someone throws a comment on your paint.. (goof comment)
You can proudly sad "I did that!" http://www.chevelles.com/forum/wink.gif
