I own a 1971 Chevelle painted Carolina Blue, the car is the original color. I have been told by the original owner from Burlington NC that the car was a special order color. Does anybody have or can tell me where I can find some information regarding this color. If anybody has any pictures of Chevelles painted this color, could you possibly email me the pictures at sd4osu@defnet.com. Thanks....Scott

Carolina Blue was a common special order paint in 70 and 71 for folks in the Carolinas. The trim tag could show nothing in the paint code area or it could show '- -' depending on the assembly plant.

Check http://www.chevellestuff.com/70velle/gallery_more.htm for a '70 model and http://www.chevellestuff.com/71velle/gallery.htm for a '71 model (I think it's yours in fact).

I restored a 68 Camaro 396/375 that was that color and I think I have the paint code from the can here in the shop. Its a very nice looking color. There is a picture of it on my past projects page.
