Found a set of 15X7 69 rally wheels that the owner says he took off of a 69 Z28, says they are a matched set. I can come up with the correct numbers that should be on these from Chevy by the Numbers.

Question, if they are in decent shape (no rings or caps included) about what should I expect to pay for them. He wants $160.

I'm no expert on rally wheels, but considering the price of other wheels (i.e. custom wheels), I'd jump on that deal in a heartbeat. I'm more of a fan of the 8" Vette rallies, but with the right tire size, I think the 7's would look great.

You might ask the guy if you could carry them to a tire shop to put them on a balancer and check if any are bent.

I made the mistake of buying some of the Wheel Vintiques Corvette Rallies for my 94 Silverado. I mounted the tires as soon as I got the wheels and I know at least one of them are bent b/c I've had two sets of tires on them and had them balanced numerous times. At certain speeds, the ride is awful.

They never made a 69 15x7 SS Chevelle wheel,,,your gunna put ralleys on an SS car ??

thought the 69 chevelle rally was a 14x6. At least that what I have 3 are excellent, 1 has a little run out, and the s pare is not very good. $160 would be a good price, if they are good and true. Otherwise their a pain.

I'm not sure what he has until I see them. Just going by what he's told me. So far that is 15X7 rallys and taken off of a 69 Camaro Z28.

I dont intend to put them on my 69 chevelle. If there good and its a good deal and I can:
1. Make some bucks off of them, or
2. Help someone out who needs them, or
3. Use them on one of my other cars.

Thats it, just dont want to pass without checking into them.

Excuse my ignorance if I'm wrong here...But, I thought that the 69 came with 14" rims.

If I'm wrong please let me know so I can get it straight in my head.

The Camaro in 69 used 14x6, 14x7 and 15x7. The 15x7 AD wheels were used early and did not have provisions for the disc brakes, the 15x7 YH wheels replaced them about 2/20/69. The 15x7s are listed in "Chevy by the Numbers" for the "Camaro High Perf Z28".

Could be a decent set of rims, since he said he took them off of a 69 Z28. I'm scheduled to see them on Tuesday.

Now Grape Ape the Chevelles only had the 14" wheels, as far as I know.
