My 70's trunk lid sits higher up on the drivers side and I was wondering how to go about dropping that corner?

Thanks,

Lee

Well if yu add some shims to the outer bolt that will drop the corner. The outer bolt would be the bolt when the lid is open its the higher of the two bolts. You need to loosen that bolt and slide a shim inbetween the decklid and the deck lid hinge arm. You can buy shims at any body shop supply house in 1/8 in and 1/16 inch

Any other way besides shims? I think shims would look kinda tacky...

Do they do that from the factory?

They bent the hinges or lid to make it fit.

If you use the small shims, or even after shimming, remove the shim and exchange it with a washer of the same thickness.

By the way, if you open the lid and then force it to go open as far as it will with a little pressure, you will bend the hinge and or lid to bring it down in the back.

By the way, it is high at the hinge side right?
