What is the correct color for the hood hinges on a 1969 Chevelle SS396. Thanks for your input...John

Don is correct, they were NOT painted, they were phosphated in dark grey. If you dont want to spend the money for plating, Eastwood's "spray gray" works pretty decent if you shoot it on nice and "dry".. still no substitute for plating though.

Thanks guys. Was not sure what "color", whether black, cast gray, or phosphated. Doubt I kgo the phosphating route, so will check out above site and kgo from there...thanks again.
