I just bought the jegs throttle bracket (555-15230) and realized that the carb end of the bracket has a square hole and my cable has a round end. Does any body know what year and model had a square end that would fit a 68. dom

Go to autozone, find the area of the store that sells the spectre parts, the black blister packs with the chrome plated hot rod stuff. They have a throttle cable kit that you make yourself. Its perfect for GM cars, and has the square hole you need. $20.00 and your set!

The cable in my '68 has a square end that fits in the square hole in the Spectre bracket that I bought. I believe it's the original cable. I've seen replacement cables in the Ground Up catalog for $20 also. I could only guess that it'd have a square end - don't know what the original is.
