Been looking for over a year for a LH door latch for our 64 Malibu. OPG said their 65-67 latch would work with minor modification, but the guy on the phone did not know what the modifications were. We ordered one, and while it bolts in fine, the operation is iffy at best! Does anyone know what "modifications" are needed? Also, the spring in the "remote control" (interior door latch release) is busted, does anyone know where I can get a replacement?

The car has been sitting waiting for the door to be operable, and we'd like to get her back on the road. It's my wife's car and she has had it longer than me!
