I finally got my 70 home last weekend and after looking it over, it looks like the pass. side windshield pillar is totally rotted and has alot of bondo on it. I might end up doing both. I know nobody sells these pieces so I`ll have to find a donor car and cut them out. My question is how hard is it to replace them and what years and cars will work? Thanks

I have a friend who is grafting the pilliars and roof skin to his 67. What you have to do is drill all the spot welds that hold the inner pilliar to the outside pillar. It slow work using a spot weld drill and a air chisel.

We have several hours on each side in just finding and drilling out the spot welds.

I expect 70-72 Chevelle is the donor here.

Thanks. What about the BOP A bodies? Do they have the same pillar? What about the elcaminos? Thanks again.

My Chevelle interchange manual lists 68-72 Chevelle, 2 door hardtop68-72 Cutlass (except Supreme), 68-72 Lemans, 68-72 Skylark

I sent a word document with a diagram to your email address.

Thanks DC, I got the diagram. I actualy was talking about the piece that the windshield sits in. I guess thats not called the "A" pillar. The piece on #39 that goes up for the glass channel is what I need to replace. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks again for the diagram.
