Hey everyone. I got my new panels today, the 2 front 1/2 panels and the "toe panel" for the passenger side, Im about to start cutting with a jig, I know I outline with the new panels and cut about a 1/2 or so inside the lines to be safe, any special way to start my cuts? Or the welds for that matter?

For a jigsaw, it's best to drill a starter hole for the blade. Just don't forget about those braces like we mentioned in your other thread!

Also make sure you look where you are going when you cut into the toe boards. You have a major structural part welded onto the firewall that your body bolts go into...I almost totaled mine out cause I did not look...

Good Luck

Sounds good, I found a really good price on a week rental, that means I'll have a MIG for a week, time for these door handles to come down too ;) But one more thing about the cutting of my floors, when it comes time to lay down the new panels and weld them in, do I want the new panels as close as I can get in size of the hole? Or should they fold over a very slight bit? I think If I did that I'd have a fold still on the bottom in some sections, either leaving it or welding certain areas of the bottom as well, which I shouldnt have to. I think im confusing myself.

Wow, well im a little skeptical now. This project is going far too smoothly compared to some. I've been using a skil saw and skil rotary saw as well for some larger areas. I got out the old pieces without slicing through any fuel lines or mounts. Hurray me. Just some fine touches now. The toe panel Ive yet to cut to size, the RIGHT corner of the floor pan and toe panel seems to have some kind of mount it looks like its connected to the inner fender skirts, im not sure how to pop that guy out. But all is well so far
