Would anyone know the required parts to properly convert a small block power steering pump to fit on a 454? I have an 86 3/4 ton that I put a 454 out of a motor home in and the power steering pump was different. I have it jury rigged now but want to fix it properly. I have the lower cradle, adjuster, and spacer but have no idea how they all fit together. Would anyone have a pic of a pump on a truck properly set up? My email address is mark.smith@us.army.mil Any help would be greatly appriciated!!

You will need the pick up truck brackets to fit the 454 engine. The 86 truck had a seperate resevior that bolted to the upper brackets on the engine. How was the motorhome set up?

If I remember correctly, the motorhome had a seprate resevior too, however I do not have the pump or resevior at this time. I would like to use my existing pump if I could and just change brackets. Was there a pump for big blocks with an internal resevior? The motorhome was torn apart when I got the motor so I didn't have a chance to see exactly what it looked like. I seem to remember there were posts on this board that delt with this subject but now can't find them.

You can use a set of BB truck brackets and pulleys from around 73/84. Parts should still be available from GM if you can't find used. This set up will have 2 belts one for the alt and one for the PS and both run around the water pump pulley. I ran that set up in a 74 GMC with a 396 and loved it, btw both belts were the same.
